Fred. Olsen 1848 welcomes Per Arvid Holth as its new CEO. He succeeds Sofie Olsen Jebsen and will take up the position on 1 March 2024.

Fred. Olsen 1848 welcomes Per Arvid Holth as its new CEO. Per has since 2022 held the position as Chief Project Officer in Fred. Olsen 1848 developing the company’s projects in floating solar and floating wind. He brings along extensive knowledge from various Fred. Olsen-related companies, joining Fred. Olsen Energy from DNV in 2012, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier in 2019 and later Fred. Olsen Ocean in 2021. Per is also Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oslo Shipowners' Association.

Fred. Olsen 1848 works closely with their partners and suppliers, and the company looks forward to continuing this collaboration. Within floating solar, a 125kWp pilot of the unique floating solar power production technology BRIZO has recently been installed in Risør, Norway. This puts the company on the path to offer floating solar technology in nearshore ocean environments, unlocking new areas as BRIZO is designed to handle ocean environments with a new standard of cost efficiency.

Within floating wind, Fred. Olsen 1848 is an established player at the forefront of the industry’s challenges through the floating wind foundation technology BRUNEL and installation and maintenance solutions such as the Mobile Port and Floating maintenance solution. The two latter are developed in corporation with Fred. Olsen Windcarrier.

The Chair Anette Olsen said:

“On behalf of the Board, I am very happy to welcome Per to the new position. Per brings broad technology and project experience and is well-matched to develop tomorrow’s energy solutions together with the team at Fred. Olsen 1848“.

Per states:

“I am honoured to take on the role as CEO, tackling today’s challenges and providing solutions to ensure we resolve tomorrow’s problems. Fred. Olsen 1848 is driven by innovation and has since the establishment in 2021 launched several projects with viable keys to the challenges that face the renewable energy market. I look forward to contributing with the team in Fred. Olsen 1848 to the further success of the company”.
